The City of Mandurah Seed Library is a collection of free seeds that you can use to plant, grow and enjoy at home.
A seed library is for all community members who are either just beginning to get their edible gardens started or have been growing their gardens for years!
Borrowing
Visit the seed library to borrow seeds. The seeds that are offered are seasonal, so they will always be changing. The library includes herbs, vegetables and flowers. All you need to borrow a packet of seeds is a current City of Mandurah Library membership card.
Saving
Saving seeds is collecting seeds from plants to grow them next season.
Seed saving can be complicated and the process for saving seeds depends on the plant.
Speak to our Library team for information on how to save your seeds.
Sharing
Save some seeds for yourself and then place the remaining seeds in labelled containers. Bring your labelled seeds back to the City’s Seed Library.
