Spend Mother's Day exploring Mandurah

Looking for a meaningful way to celebrate Mother’s Day this year? Mandurah has plenty on offer, with opportunities to get outdoors, support local creatives and spend quality time together.

Start the day with the Pink Walk – Mother’s Day event, a free 4km community walk raising awareness of breast cancer. Held on Sunday 10 May, the walk follows Mandurah’s scenic foreshore and is suitable for all ages and abilities. It’s a chance to move, connect and show support for an important cause.

After the walk, participants can enjoy a free barbecue breakfast, making it a relaxed and social way to begin Mother’s Day with family and friends.

From there, take your time exploring Mandurah Open Studios, running from 2–10 May across the city. This free, self‑guided art trail invites the public into the working studios of local artists, offering a behind‑the‑scenes look at how art is created.

With studios open on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 May, and again on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May, visitors can plan their own trail and explore at their own pace. Paintings, ceramics, textiles, photography and more are on display, with many artists on hand to share the stories behind their work.

Mandurah Open Studios also offers the opportunity to purchase artwork directly from artists, making it a thoughtful and meaningful Mother’s Day gift. Choosing a locally made piece is a great way to support Mandurah’s creative community while giving mum something truly unique.

Whether you’re walking along the foreshore, enjoying a shared breakfast or wandering through local studios, Mother’s Day in Mandurah is all about connection, creativity and community.
